ABIA takes the lead on Graffiti removal
On November 15th, 2011 the Alliston Business Improvement Association launched a proactive initiative to wipeout Graffiti within the ABIA geographic area.
A graffiti abatement company has been hired to service the area with an initial clean up followed by patrols of the area.
Additional special preventative coating applied to deter further vandalism.
A 24-hour response time for on-call service is provided as well.
Mike Jerry, Chair of the ABIA says, “The problem must be responded to with timely removal. Graffiti breeds more graffiti, if graffiti is not removed promptly; the space invites more. We are committed to a sustained program to keep the ABIA service area graffiti free. “
The ABIA looks forward to working with the Town in their attempts to eradicate this problem.
