The Alliston Business Improvement Association (ABIA) and Alliston District Chamber of Commerce (ADCC) invite you to attend their inaugural “Alliston Hometown Christmas” event on Saturday, November 27th. This free family fun event runs from 2pm-5pm in downtown Alliston.
Participating merchants will offer children’s activity stations that your little elves may enjoy. Children get their “Alliston Hometown Christmas Passport” stamped upon completion of the activity station. Passports submitted by 5pm are eligible for draw prizes.
Mill Street in Alliston will be closed to traffic for the day and will be transformed into a pedestrian friendly zone. Mill Street is where families may participate in events such as cookie decorating, face painting and Christmas card making sponsored by the South Simcoe Arts Council. Base Borden will also be onsite with fun displays that you will not want to miss!
It would not be Christmas without the man in the big red suit! Santa Claus will meet and greet children on the beautifully decorated front porch of Bern’s Flowers.
At 5pm enjoy the annual countdown as we flick the switch and light up our Christmas tree. There will be carolling with the New Tecumseth Singers, tasty treats and hot chocolate for all.
The 4th Annual Rotary Club of Alliston Night-Lit Santa Claus Parade will begin at 6pm.
For more information, please call Sarah Toth, Business Improvement Association Co-ordinator at (705) 435-1787 or e-mail to stoth@town.newtecumseth.on.ca to get involved!
