PadtStock '11
It was an all day music fest to celebrate a life and to raise funds for the Patrick Conry Trust for struggling musicians.
PadtStock '11 took place in Alliston on Saturday, May 28, with a full line-up of local talent.
Patrick Conry passed away in May 2010, and left behind a legacy of his love for music, many friends and a loving family.
They gathered at the Alliston Fairgrounds to celebrate his life with a day of music.
"The anniversary (of his death) was yesterday," said Patrick's father Paul. "So this is a celebration of his life."
The Patrick Conry Trust was set up following Patrick's death in a way to remember him and help others who have an interest in music but may not be able to follow their interest due to financial constraints.
"The Trust was set up to promote music in Alliston," Paul expalined, "We left it wide open, but it could be for instruments, lessons, or where ever there are financial constraints. We are here to help open doors."

Musical instruments aren't cheap, so another aspect of the trust is obtaining instruments.
In a program called "Note-worthy" people can donate instruments to the trust that can be later loaned out or supplied to others with a desire to make music.
"Kids can borrow one of the instruments," Paul said, "So far we've receive a dozen different instruments."
You can be a part of this Trust in several ways.
