Matthews House Hospice revels in Miracles
Among other things, Matthews House Hospice can pride itself on being financially responsible and efficient.
Thats what makes donations like the recent one by the RBC Foundation so important - that, and of course the valuable work they do in the community to help both people with illness and those who are touched by it.
The Foundation donated $10,000 to Matthews House with the official presentation being made on Thursday, May 12.
"When I talk about Matthews House I call it a miracle." said Matthews House board president Frank Taylor. "a miracle of vision and a miracle of hope."
Taylor made the comments during a check presentation from the RBC Foundation on Thursday.
"We started with a handful of volunteers and saw it morphing into hundreds."
It's not easy running a non profit organization, but Taylor said they get by with help from the community and volunteers.
"There is the miracle of things materializing," he said.
Materializing in the way things happen when the building needs repair or building supplies, and the other things that go along with running not only an organization but the physical needs of the building as well.
