Matthews House says goodbye to volunteer
Megan will be missed by the staff

Matthews House Hospice recently had to say good bye to co-op student Megan Gerbasi from
Banting Memorial High School. Megan provided administration assistance to Anne Gibson, the volunteer coordinator. Megan used her people skills to
welcome visitors to the house and spend time with the clients when they were at Matthews House for day programs.
Megan also helped other staff members as her time would allow.

Megan and Anne were guest speakers at the Employer Appreciation Evening at Banting Memorial, sharing their stories and what they learned from each other during the co-op.
Anne Gibson stated "Megan has many qualities that will serve her well in her career in health care. Her compassion, kindness, caring and friendly nature are truly some of her admirable qualities. We were very fortunate to have Megan as a co-op student at MHH".
Megan was an essential part of the Matthews House team during her six month co-op, and the staff there will miss her very much.
Megan is going to Laurentian University to study nursing this fall, and hopes to eventually nurse at Sick Kids.
