These special and caring volunteers attend 30 hours of training, over five consecutive weeks, and are fully trained by professionals giving their time.
With this training, the volunteers will be qualified to visit with our clients in their homes for non medical support, take them on outings if the client wishes, or to simply drive them to medical appointments.
Our clients consist of those living with a life threatening illness, their caregivers and the bereaved.
The volunteers and the clients are all welcome to attend the programs and groups available at Matthews House Hospice. Matthews House is committed to provide all our services and programs at no cost.
