It was the first of a sold out 2 night run.

He had special guest musicians playing with him including DJ Fontana who was Elvis's drummer.
Fontana even played with Elvis when he performed on
the Ed Sullivan show. He brought out bass singer Ray Walker from The Jordonaires to sing back up with him as he did for Elvis both on stage and in the studio. Millie Kirkham, a soprano backup singer who is 88 years young performed with Elvis on many of his hits including Blue Christmas and she sang that song with McDowell.
Elvis also had a backup group called the Stamps Quartet and Ed Enoch was an original member. He too was on stage with McDowell and even sang Suspicious Minds with him.
The Stamps also performed one of Elvis's favorite gospel songs called Sweet, Sweet Spirit.
This tribute featured many songs and many stories about Elvis and had the crowd giving a standing ovation several times throughout the show.
They ended the night with Dixieland which McDowell dedicated to all the veterans.
After the show, the whole band came out to sign autographs in the lobby.
