Are you a writer hoping to have your work reach out to a
wider audience.?
Sapphire magazine has a brand new feature.
The Writers Corner.
We think there is a treasure trove or original material
out there that people would enjoy reading. And there
are a lot of writers who don't have an avenue to share their work.
If you have an essay, short story, adventure story, poem, or even an excerpt from a novel you would like to share, you can submit it to Sapphire magazine for consideration.
We will start publishing written, submitted works on a regular basis.
Writers Guidelines
All work must be original work by the author.
Work will be accepted in two categories.
1) Fiction: Work should be fiction, and all characters contained in any written work should be fictional characters, This includes short stories, essays, poems, novel excerpts, ect.
2) Non-fiction: Work based on a personal experience you would like to share. Ie,. a story in the first person written about your personal experience, a trip, family gathering, personal achievement, a person you know ect. Or works of a historical nature with accurate facts.
Opinion pieces about a living person, or anything that contains derogatory or slanderous comments about a person, organization, or institution are not acceptable.
Works containing overt vulgarity or profanity, or works that would be generally considered offensive are not acceptable.
Anyone can submit a story.
To submit a story:
You can submit your story by e-mail to: info@sapphiremagazine.ca with 'story submission' in the subject line.
Work can be submitted directly in the body of the email, if a short work, or by attached PDF, or Word file, if longer.
Please include information.
Hints: Check your spelling, grammar, syntax, ect, before sending.
Information - Please include:
Your name: We want to give you credit for your work!
Your phone number (won't be published) in case we have to contact you for verification.
Include any information you feel is relevant to the work. A short biography for example,, where you live, any information that can go with the story that you think would be of interest to readers.
Photographs: If you have any photographs you would like to submit with a story, please ensure they
are of a quality and resolution suitable for reprint.
